San Blas Tour

This guided historical and ecological tour explores the San Blas area of Mexico's Nayarit state.

This tour heads north into Nayarit state via the Pacific Coast Highway, passing through the small villages and plantations that supply Puerto Vallarta with bananas, papayas, pineapples, and mangoes. Once the Tovara River is reached, the group transfers to small boats for a tour through the channels winding through the mangroves; an abundance of exotic birds, wild orchids, trop fish, turtles, and even crocodiles live here. Next on the itinerary is a first-century Spanish fortress, built to ward off pirate attacks. Then it's on to San Blas—once a major seaport—for lunch before beginning the return journey.

Cameras, sunblock, sunglasses, hats, and money for incidental expenses also are recommended. This tour is not suited for individuals staying in the Nuevo Vallarta area. Please arrive at the departure point at least 15 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time.
